Because of your generosity, there are so many exciting things happening at Shelter Children’s Home! Many goats have been purchased to be fattened up and sold during the holiday season for meat to generate income for operations. It is exciting for the children to see them grow and be nurtured with the end goal – self-sufficiency.
Many other projects are in the works including:
During the recent election, there were challenging times as locals were focused less on humanitarian efforts and more on political matters. In addition, the drought resulted in a food shortage at Shelter. TrueHope was able to provide some funds to partially meet immediate needs, but additional funds are needed.
Update from Silas at Berur in Eldoret
We are so grateful for what God is doing in us and through us. The chicken coop is done and we have ordered chicks. The new structure can now hold up to six hundred chickens in full capacity. A BIG success! We have also managed to buy one extra dairy cow from the support we have received and we are so grateful. We are headed the right direction with sustainability at Berur.
The farm is ripe and ready for harvest. We have had much rain and hope to have a break during harvest.
All is well at Berur and we are forever thankful to God and TrueHope for the support.
